Here you will find a list of books I’ve read and recommend.
- Distributed Systems - Concepts and Design: great book, which was recommended in my master’s programme curriculum (I think this is the recommended book of every distributed systems course). It’s a great starting point for distributed systems. If you are working on distributed systems you need to read this.
Τάδε Εφη Ζαρατούστρα (in English: Thus Spoke Zarathustra) by Friedrich Nietzsche. Very hard to understand book, which means that I haven’t understood everything in that book, but the points that I have understood generated a lot of food for thought. I highly recommend it, but don’t read it just once.
Ασκητική (in Latin: Salvatores dei) by Nikos Kazantzakis. It’s a stochastic book with thoughts about God, human, nature of Nikos Kazantzakis. This is the first phisolosophical book that I’ve read (I might have read other phisophical books in school, but I don’t remember much).
- Spy the lie by Philip Houston, Michael Floyd, Susan Carnicero, Don Tennan. Very interesting book, after reading you feel like you want to start interrogating everyone. The truth is that it’s much harder than you think. However, you notice that certain people have the ability to do it, without any training.
